I hate doing laundry

What do you mean,
that I need to lug my clothes all the way to the washing machine?
That I need to hold the detergent
and flip the pouch and
watch it drip slowly with no regard for my time?
Unacceptable, I strangle the pouch

How dare I need to,
Bend my body to pick up the clothes?
That once is not enough for all of them,
So I have to bend a few times

How dare that sock,
Which fell out of the rack,
Require me to get on the ground and lift it up?
Does it deserve all of this attention?

You are telling me,
I need to pick these clothes once they dry,
Carry them with my bare hands,
walk for more than 20 feet,
And eventually throw them in the cupboard?

And you are telling me,
I need to do this once every week,
Sometimes twice?!

What an unproductive task,
a sheer waste of a man's time,
So mundane,
Like the rest of my existence.
